Tim Platt is a comedian, actor, songwriter and puppeteer living in Brooklyn. His solo performance melds stand up, character work, and music into a singular comedic experience. 

Tim is a cast member on the award winning comedy narrative play podcast Rude Tales of Magic DM’d by Branson Reese. He created the character comedy podcast Hampton High Archives, where he hosted in character as a high school junior trying to make “WTF with Marc Maron but for MY school!” Guests include Cole Escola, Ayo Edebiri, Jamie Loftus, and more.

He has been seen on Comedy Central, MasterClass with Steve Martin, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and in 2019 was one of Comedy Central’s Up Next Variety Comedians at Clusterfest as well as a Kickstarter Creator-in-Residence. He has written and performed original songs for Sesame Street, Comedy Central, and the Story Pirates Podcast, one of which was performed by Colin Meloy of The Decemberists.

His work has been seen at Union Hall, The Bell House, Littlefield, Ars Nova, The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, La Mama Experimental Theater, The Annoyance Theater, The Kennedy Center, The Invisible Dog, The Incubator Arts Project, The Magnet Theater, The People’s Improv Theater, Dixon Place, The CATCH Performance Series, Fresh Ground Pepper, the Silent Barn, and many other venues. Tim has trained in long form improvisation at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, The Second City, The Magnet Theater, and with Oberlin College’s Sunshine Scouts.
